I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and raised in Statesville, North
Carolina. My initial reason for moving to Washington, in 1976 was
to attend Howard University.
After college, a good friend suggested that I try real estate,
which at the time was the furthest thing from my mind. In January
1985, I became a licensed agent in the District of Columbia and
sold 5 house is in my first month. Later that year, I became the
Rookie of the Year for my company and the #2 salesperson with the
Washington Board of Realtors with 32 closed transactions.
Over the years I have lived in numerous parts of the city: Columbia
Heights, Southwest Waterfront, Capitol Hill, and LeDroit Park. Currently,
I reside in the Kalorama Triangle neighborhood in an historic townhouse
I renovated six years ago. My attraction to the neighborhood was
because of it's proximity to Rock Creek Park where I spend as much
time as possible, jogging, biking or walking my dog Ellington.
